Apparently these Have A low ver low mintage ,and by the way the ASE anniv sets are great.

DB do you have a way to check on the mintage?

I could have sworn that I read or heard that they were going to issue this coin based on demand. I ordered 5 of this coin back in Nov (8th) and the Mint website says they are on backorder with an expected ship date of Dec 25th. The site also says that the coins are "no longer available", so I guess my reading or hearing mentioned earlier was off.

If I would have known the mintage was going to be low I would have ordered more than 5! I would have ordered at least 6.:smile:

If you are talking about the 20th ANV sets the mintage was 250,000 You could buy them from the mint for $100 and can now sell them for at least $200

Hi Hi Roller,
The 2006 W uncirculated is part of the Anniversary set, but was also being sold separately by the Mint for $19.95. If you go to the US Mints website and go to "Buy Online" and then to "American Eagles" on the left side under "Products" it will show at the top the Anniversary Coins and scrolling on down the page you will see the Uncirculated coin as an option by itself. I would put the cite here, but I can't seem to get it to work very well.

Anyway, it is too late to get one now, but I assume they will put one out for 2007.

I think the attraction of the coin is that it was an uncirculated coin, but with a W mint mark. Is that worth anything? I don't know, but they sold out almost as fast as the 20th Anniversary sets did. :rock:
